DÉPS works alongside SADC Pierre-De Saurel, which oversees the local level of Défi OSEntreprendre, to encourage entrepreneurs and businesses in the region to take part in this Québec-wide initiative celebrating entrepreneurial ambition, creativity and innovation.

Through its various categories, the initiative encourages entrepreneurship, celebrates creativity and recognizes individuals who contribute to Québec’s economic and social vitality.
In the MRC Pierre-De Saurel, the Business Creation and Réussite inc. categories provide opportunities to showcase local businesses, whether they are just starting out or already established.

Registration for the 29th edition of Défi OSEntreprendre (2026–2027) will open soon.
Application deadline: March 10, 2027, at 4 p.m.

Eligibility Requirements
Starting a new business?
The Business Creation category of Défi OSEntreprendre gives you the opportunity to showcase your project, expand your network, and build visibility and credibility.
Key eligibility requirements
To participate in the 29th edition, your business must meet the following requirements, among others:
- Have its head office or primary business address in Québec.
- Be majority-owned by individuals residing in Québec.
- Have completed its first purchase or sale transaction before December 31, 2027.
- Not have made a sale before April 1, 2026, except in certain circumstances outlined in the official rules.
- Submit a complete application by March 10, 2027, at 4 p.m.
Members of the entrepreneurial team must be at least 18 years old, reside in Québec, and be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Certain exclusions apply, particularly to businesses established through a takeover or acquisition, as well as businesses that have previously won a regional or national award in an official category of this competition.

The Réussite inc. category invites you to reflect on your entrepreneurial journey, celebrate your achievements and inspire the next generation by sharing your experience.
Key eligibility requirements
To participate, your business must meet the following requirements, among others:
- Have its head office in Québec and a Québec Enterprise Number (NEQ).
- Have previously participated in the Business Creation category of Défi OSEntreprendre and been deemed eligible during one of the editions specified in the official rules.
- Still be owned by at least one of the original participating entrepreneurs who remains actively involved in managing the business, subject to exceptions for social economy enterprises.
- Be majority Québec-owned.
- Continue to pursue a mission consistent with its original purpose.
- Submit a complete application by March 10, 2027, at 4 p.m.
Members of the entrepreneurial team must also meet the age, residency and immigration status requirements outlined in the official rules.
Certain exclusions apply, including to businesses that have recently won a regional or national Réussite inc. award.
